In this photo, on the far right you'll see a seagull which had got entangled in fishing wire, the hook having got caught in its' wing. The RSPB were called out and the Fire Brigade came and rescued the bird! See further pictures of our walk on new years Day 2010!

New Years Day Walk 2010!

As we enter 2010, first, may it be all you hope it to be, and second, thank you for joining me for a lovely walk around the Lakes in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. I hope this year, to be able to add more photos to my blog than I achieved last year! So... here we go! I had also forgotten that you have to publish things backwards in order to see them in the correct order!



































If you look closely on the far right hand corner of this photo, you'll see a seagull caught in the branched of the tree. Poor little chap had got it's wing snared with a hook from fishing wire. The RSPB had been called out and then the Fire Brigade came and rescued it. We didn't spot this in the photo, until viewed on the computer back home.
